What You Will Do:

• This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated intern level Engineer to join us on the System Safety Engineering Team. You will:

• Learn MIL-STD-882E Safety processes and perform safety tasks and analysis in support of that guidance.

• Assist in the development of plans and reports to address key Safety focus areas.

• Support the interpretation of system requirements and customer specifications.

• Assist in the investigation and development of new technology that can benefit System Safety

• Assist in working across integrated product teams to learn to eliminate hazards and/or provide effective controls.

• Participate in the preparation of technical reviews as a part of the safety approval process

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelors degree in science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Strong analytical skills

• Customer focus with strong collaboration skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of MS Office or other presentation tools

• Experience in the preparation and presentation of briefing material

• This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance.   The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
  This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
