Key Responsibilities

• Network Operations & Maintenance:

• Perform daily monitoring troubleshooting and maintenance of network infrastructure including switches routers wireless access points and load balancers.

• Ensureoptimalperformance and availability of network services across a nationwide footprint.

• Support andmaintainVoIP solutions to ensure reliable voice communication across the organization.

• Service Management:

• Support andmaintainVPN connectivity for remote users and secure communications.

• Manage internet connectivity via TIC (Trusted Internet Connection) and ensure compliance with security standards.

• Maintain andoptimizecloud connectivity withAWSandAzureenvironments.

• Oversee high-speed connectivity throughESNetfor critical applications and data transfers.

• Incident Response & Support:

• Provide24x7 supportfor network-related incidents and outages including on-call rotation.

• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues promptly to minimize downtime.

• Configuration & Deployment:

• Configure and deploy network devices and services ensuring adherence to best practices and security policies.

• Implement changes and upgrades to network hardware and software as.

• Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintainaccuratenetwork diagrams documentation and configuration records.

• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards for network security and performance.

Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 12 years with High School Diploma

Technical Expertise:

• Hands-on experience withCiscoJuniperPalo Alto andF5network hardware and software.

• Strong understanding of routing switching load balancing and wireless technologies.

• Proficiencyin VPN technologies TIC connectivity and cloud networking (AWS Azure).

Certifications:

• CCNAor equivalent certification recommended; higher-level certifications (CCNP JNCIP PCNSE F5-CA) are a plus.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Must be able to obtain andmaintaina Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.
