Job Description:

The Operations department of L3Harris Space and Missions Systems in Rochester New York is seeking a detail oriented Production Control Technician to support low volume high precision manufacturing. The role involves timely task execution and close collaboration with engineering quality and materials teams to ensure proper handling and documentation of optical mechanical and electrical components. Ideal candidates bring strong attention to detail relevant material handling experience and solid problem solving communication and teamwork skills. This position offers the opportunity to support advanced technology and precision manufacturing within L3Harris Space and Mission Systems.

Essential Functions:

Monitors the efficient movement of material from the warehouse to production
Use ERP systems and production planning software to process transactions
Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation
Assist with identifying problems with material orders and recommend solutions
Work cross functionally to troubleshoot and resolve paperwork and parts issues
Adhere to established policies procedures and proper labor charging practices
Work with Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel Outlook) to complete tasks
Ability to obtain US Government security clearance

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience: Or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
Ability to work overtime/weekend shifts as needed
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Preferred Additional Skills:

High attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Experience in an Electrical/Mechanical/Optical discipline
Aerospace or Defense industry experience
Proven experience as a Production Control Expert or in a similar role such as inventory/materials management
In-depth knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
Lean Manufacturing practices

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in New York state is $45000-$84000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
