ID: Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Description: James Corrections Health Unit - PCU - AYA OFFER - D/N or NightsONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED. EPIC CHARTING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!Key Responsibilities: Float to various Oncology Medical-Surgical (MS) units as needed. Ensure staff safety in a secure corrections unit Required: BLS (Basic Life Support)Special Procedures/Unit Details: Unit is a corrections unit for Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC) inmates. Locked unit with access controlled by Corrections Officers (CO). CO to inmate ratio: 1:2. Nurse to patient ratio: 1:3 for PCU 1:4-5 for MS. Some shifts will be assigned to MS others to : Weekend shifts vary based on unit requirements. If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract you may be scheduled for days nights or a combination of both depending on the department s needs. Special Procedures/Unit Details : Unit is a corrections unit of Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC) inmates. Unit is locked and requires access from Corrections Officer (CO) to enter. -CO to inmate ratio is 1:2. -Nurse to patient ratio is 1:3 PCU and 1:4-5 shifts will be a MS assignment and some will be a PCU safety is a priority. Special Equipment : ****Must meet experience requirements within the 3 most recent years. However must have at least 1 year of CURRENT specialty experience for a clinical pass.***** #Tier4 Travel Compliance There is a strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start no exceptions. Please screen for any candidate vacation time taking place immediately after booking as this will likely cause a push due to fingerprinting delays. Please only submit to one location. The AM team will find the best fit for the clinician. PLEASE NOTE: ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE MADE AWARE OF THE URGENCY OF THE OHIO FINGERPRINTING PROCESS. Candidate must complete fingerprints as soon as they sign contract. TRAVELERS WHO ARE UNRESPONSIVE OR UNCOOPERATIVE WITH CREDENTIALING ARE AT RISK OF PUSH/CANCEL. All candidates who are currently outside the state of Ohio but within driving distance will be required to drive to a fingerprinting location in Ohio as soon as possible after booking. Travelers who are extreme distances from Ohio will be mailed a fingerprinting packet which is to be completed urgently upon receipt. Detailed instructions will be sent to the candidate by the Credentialing team. RTO required with submission must be built into contract Locals are accepted at the same rate Reference Requirements: 2 professional references are required. At least 1 reference must be from a manager/director or someone in a formal leadership capacity (e.g. a supervisor). Charge RN acceptable for 2nd reference. No coworker references accepted. Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location RNs- must have valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission. MRI techs - submittals without OH license are acceptable. Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
