The Creo Design Project Engineer is responsible for leading the mechanical design and development of custom engineered-to-order generator systems. This role serves as the technical lead and design owner for customer-specific solutions ensuring delivery of high-quality cost-effective products that meet performance manufacturability and customer requirements.

Working in a project-driven environment the Creo Design Project Engineer collaborates with cross-functional and global teams to translate customer needs into practical manufacturable designs supporting the full product lifecycle from concept through production.

Work Mode: Hybrid-3 days in office

Location: Mosel facility at N7650 County Rd LS Sheboygan WI 53083

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and CAD development of custom generator sets enclosures and related system components

• Own and manage engineering projects from initial requirements through design release and production support

• Develop and maintain detailed parametric models assemblies and engineering drawings using Creo

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to CAD designers and support global engineering resources

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Application Engineering Electrical Engineering Manufacturing and Purchasing to ensure alignment and successful project execution

• Translate customer requirements into engineered solutions that meet technical cost and delivery objectives

• Ensure designs meet standards for performance quality and manufacturability

• Evaluate materials components and design approaches to optimize product performance and cost

• Identify technical risks and implement effective data-driven solutions

• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes and custom product development

• Participate in technical discussions with customers and global engineering teams as needed

Work Environment

• Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days onsite)

• Location: Sheboygan WI

• Travel: Limited as required

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Design Engineering Technology or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of relevant product design experience; or

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience using Creo for 3D CAD modeling and design

• Minimum of 2 years of experience designing industrial or engineered-to-order products

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in generator systems power systems or industrial equipment design

• Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and fabrication processes

• Experience working in a cross-functional global engineering environment

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Advanced CAD modeling and technical design capabilities

• Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional and global teams

• Analytical problem-solving skills with a focus on practical implementable solutions

• Ability to take ownership and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision
