Laboratory Technician, Entry

As a Laboratory Technician youll play a key role in ensuring product quality through hands-on inspections that make a real impact. Based onsite at PPGs Toronto ASC Office youll report directly to the Quality Engineering Manager while collaborating with industry experts every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures and guidelines to check test and inspect raw materials goods in process and finished goods.

• Be involved in physical inspection and/or testing of raw materials as well as in process and finished goods. Tests conducted may include visual dimensional etc.

• Performing internal auditing.

• Calibration of equipment housekeeping and disposing of material and product.

• Following specifications SOPs and industry standards for inspection of parts.

• Upholding safety standards for the team and this includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 2 years of laboratory/inspection or related experience.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities and craft a collaborative & inclusive work environment.

• Ability to clearly identify and communicate issues that need to be addressed and to take the necessary steps to avoid future errors.

• Digital literacy in ERP System (QAD preferred) and Microsoft Suite.

The base salary range for this position is $47500 to $57500 CAD with a possibility of an annual bonus up to 2.5% of base salary.
