Job Description

• Handle substantive employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings dispositive motions discovery and substantive briefs
• Manage key litigation workstreams with increasing independence
• Conduct and defend depositions and support hearing preparation
• Appear at hearings mediations and settlement conferences commensurate with experience
• Advise employers and employees on employment law risks compliance and strategy
• Support workplace investigations and internal employment assessments as needed
• Counsel clients on discipline termination wage practices policy issues employment agreements separation matters and claims evaluation
• Communicate directly with clients opposing counsel and agency representatives
• Contribute to efficient case management and overall litigation strategy on significant matters

Qualifications

• 5 years of litigation experience in state and/or federal court
• Strong employment litigation experience required
• Experience with discrimination retaliation harassment wrongful termination wage and hour or related employment matters
• Demonstrated experience drafting dispositive motions and managing discovery
• Strong legal research writing and analytical skills
• Working knowledge of California employment statutes and civil procedure
• Active California Bar admission required
