Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Counsel: Advise clients on HIPAA Stark Law Anti-Kickback Statute and other critical healthcare regulations.
- Transactional Support: Draft review and negotiate healthcare-related contracts and assist in due diligence for M&A and partnerships.
- Litigation & Investigation: Support administrative proceedings and regulatory investigations involving healthcare entities.
- Leadership: Mentor junior associates and paralegals providing guidance on specialized healthcare law matters.
- Strategy: Stay ahead of emerging legislative changes and industry trends to provide proactive legal memos and reports.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD): From an accredited law school.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated practice in healthcare law.
- Bar Admission: Must be admitted to the state bar applicable to the office location.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of healthcare compliance standards and regulatory counseling.
- Skills: Exceptional legal research writing and oral advocacy skills.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience specifically with healthcare providers and health systems.
- Strong background in reimbursement and transactional work.
