Schedule: MondayFriday any shift between 6:00 AM 4:00 PM with weekend overtime as needed

About the Opportunity
Seeking a Licensed Electrician supporting critical airport infrastructure at LAX. In this role you will maintain troubleshoot and repair the electrical systems that power Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) motor controls automation systems and related airport equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician with industrial airport manufacturing automation or heavy equipment maintenance experience who enjoys diagnostics electrical troubleshooting and keeping mission-critical systems running safely and reliably.
Candidates with controls PLC troubleshooting and motor control experience will stand out.
What Youll Do
- Troubleshoot diagnose and repair electrical systems wiring controls and powered airport equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections to reduce downtime and improve system reliability
- Support PLC relay logic motor controls VFDs and automation components
- Read and interpret electrical schematics wiring diagrams and blueprints
- Perform electrical load calculations and verify proper installations
- Document completed work repairs and PM activities in the CMMS maintenance system
- Follow all LOTO OSHA airport and electrical safety compliance procedures
- Work safely on airport ramps around aircraft moving equipment and elevated platforms
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to support airport uptime
Required Qualifications
- C-10 Electrical Contractor License OR Journeyman Electrician License
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to obtain and maintain airport badge/security clearance
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics experience
- Experience with motor controls relays contactors and electrical distribution systems
- Working knowledge of LOTO electrical compliance and safe work practices
- Ability to work flexible hours overtime weekends and holidays as needed
Preferred Experience
- 3 years of industrial airport facilities conveyor automation or heavy equipment electrical maintenance
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs automation controls or electromechanical systems
- Familiarity with Passenger Boarding Bridges conveyors baggage systems jet bridges or airport GSE equipment
- Experience using CMMS / maintenance management systems
- Comfortable working outdoors and in high-traffic operational environments
Work Environment
This role is based at LAX in a live airport operations environment. Work includes:
- Inside and outside electrical maintenance
- Elevated platform and ladder work
- Exposure to weather aircraft activity moving vehicles and heavy equipment
- Working in tight mechanical and electrical spaces
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Standing climbing kneeling crouching and frequent movement throughout shift
