Location: This is an on-site role based in San Jose CA with travel to SF Bay Area job sites.

Job Description

• Manage commercial plumbing construction projects from bid through completion
• Oversee design-build plan/spec and design-assist work
• Perform plumbing system calculations pipe sizing and equipment selection
• Coordinate plumbing layouts systems and equipment with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage schedules deliverables and project timelines
• Work closely with engineers architects general contractors owners consultants and MEP partners
• Support and guide junior technical staff
• Resolve field issues with project teams and field personnel
• Compile and manage submittals vendor coordination pricing and delivery schedules
• Handle buyout and procurement of equipment and finishes
• Oversee project financials cost control and overall profitability
• Negotiate and manage subcontractors
• Build and maintain strong client relationships that can lead to future work
• Lead project closeout and ensure a smooth handoff

Qualifications

• 2 years of directly relevant commercial plumbing construction experience
• Project management experience in the construction field is required
• Experience with estimating and design in plumbing construction
• Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and coordination
• Strong understanding of applicable codes and construction processes
• Bachelors degree in a related field preferred
• Mechanical or Civil Engineering background preferred
• EIT or PE preferred not required
• LEED experience or accreditation is a plus
• Revit and BIM experience are a plus
• Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills
