Job Summary
We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a local dedicated position based in Johnstown NY operating between Johnstown and Albany NY. This is a high-paying local position with slip seat scheduling and consistent freight.
Position Details:
- Location: Johnstown NY (ZIP 12095)
- Hiring Area: Must live within 65 miles
- Operating Area: Johnstown NY and Albany NY
- Position Type: Local / Dedicated
- Equipment: Dry van / grocery freight
- Freight: No-touch
Pay & Compensation:
- Average Weekly Pay: $1600
- Weekly Mileage: Approximately 2200 miles
Pay Structure:
- Mileage-based pay
- Stop pay and short haul pay included
Additional Pay:
- $25 for loads under 50 miles
- Stop Pay:
- $10 for first stop
- $15 for each additional stop
- Live unload freight
Bonus:
- No bonus offered
Schedule & Home Time:
- Home Time: Daily (for slip seat drivers)
- Schedule: Slip seat position (56 days per week)
- Shift: Both day and night shifts available
- Weekend Work: Required
- Holiday Work: Required (all holidays)
Job Duties:
- Deliver grocery freight between Johnstown and Albany
- Handle live unload deliveries
- Operate in cold weather conditions
- Maintain schedule reliability and communication
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Minimum 6 months of CDL-A tractor trailer experience required
- Valid CDL-A license
- No endorsements required
- Must be able to work a slip seat schedule including nights weekends and holidays
