CDL-A Truck Driver

We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a local dedicated grocery account based in Chester NY. This position offers daily home time consistent freight and strong earning potential.

Position Details:

• Location: Chester NY (10918)
• Hiring radius: 50 miles
• Operating area: 250-mile radius (NY CT NJ PA; NYC after training)
• Home time: Daily
• Schedule: 5-day work week
• Days off: Tuesday & Wednesday
• Start time: 10:00 AM 2:00 PM
• Average miles/week: 1409
• Average loads/week: 10
• Average stops: 16

Pay & Compensation:

• $0.68 $0.74 CPM
• Average annual pay: $85000 $100000
• Stop pay (non-NYC): $28.50 $30 per stop
• NYC delivery pay: $62.50 per stop
• Detention pay: $15/hour
• Safety training pay: $20/hour
• Training pay: $200/day
• Truck move pay: $50
• Holiday pay: $280/day

Freight Details:

• Fresh and frozen grocery deliveries
• Reefer trailers (48 51 53)
• Multi-stop routes (15 stops per week)
• 12 loads per day
• Mostly no-touch freight with driver assist
• Pallet jack unload may be required (training provided)
• Backhauls or returns after final stop

NYC Policy:

• No NYC routes for first 6 months
• NYC runs only after training and certification
• NYC freight is only 2025% of total

Equipment:

• Day cabs (automatic & manual)
• 48 box and reefer trailers
• Slip-seat operation
• Trucks cannot be taken home

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
• Must meet DOT and safety requirements
• Reliable personal transportation required
• Must be willing to work scheduled holidays
• Customer-service mindset required
