Saunders Staffing Agency is seeking an experienced licensed Survey Project Manager to lead field and office operations for high-profile transportation and municipal roadway projects. This is a leadership role designed for a professional land surveyor who thrives on managing multiple crews ensuring technical excellence and fostering client relationships.
As a key leader within our clients award-winning employee-owned organization you will oversee boundary topographic SUE and transportation surveys while mentoring the next generation of survey professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations: Direct two or more field crews; oversee the assembly of field data and perform complex calculations.
Project Management: Manage project budgets schedules invoicing and strict QA/QC compliance for all deliverables.
Technical Production: Prepare plats and legal descriptions; utilize MicroStation OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D for project execution.
Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and represent the firm at project and industry meetings.
Business Development: Support pursuit strategies proposal preparation and overall growth of the Survey discipline.
Mentorship: Conduct goal setting and performance reviews to foster staff professional development.
Required Qualifications
Licensure: A valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license is required.
Experience: 8 years of progressive land-surveying experience with a specific focus on DOT roadway or transportation projects.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MicroStation / OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of federal state and local survey regulations.
Requirements: Valid drivers license and ability to pass a standard seven-year background screen.
Authorization: Must have U.S. work authorization (or TN visa eligibility).
Preferred Skills
Multi-state licensure.
Experience with Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE).
Familiarity with aerial LiDAR or sUAS technologies.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $85000 $145000 (Based on licensure depth and leadership experience).
Sign-On Bonus: $5000 $10000 (Issued at 90 days; can be applied toward relocation).
