Responsibilities
What youll be able to do:
Senior Software Engineer - Technical Anchor / AI ML - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn Michigan). Note this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn MI. Design develop test and maintain software applications and products to meet customer needs. Participate in the entire software development lifecycle including designing software architecture writing code testing for quality and deploying the software to meet customer requirements. Develop all software components including user interface and server side. Design build and maintain data solutions including data infrastructure pipelines etc. for collecting storing processing and analyzing large volumes of data efficiently and accurately. Develop intelligent programs cognitive applications for data analysis and automation leveraging various AI techniques such as generative AI and natural language processing. Lead development efforts as technical anchor for Quality AI ensuring high-quality code and optimal performance. Champion Agile methodologies and build and deploy robust CI/CD pipelines using Tekton and Terraform. Provide technical guidance mentor junior developers and foster a collaborative environment. Work closely with designers and product owners to ensure alignment between technical requirements and business objectives.
Qualifications
Youll have
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer and Information Science Computer Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Leading the development of QED / applications using Spring Boot or Python Fast/Flask and Angular ensuring high quality code and optimal performance. 2. Designing and deploying robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Tekton for continuous delivery and orchestration integration Maven and Gradle for builds and Artifactory for artifact management alongside Terraform Puppet or shell scripting for comprehensive infrastructure automation thereby streamlining testing and deployment processes. 3. Employing a suite of software delivery tools including Jenkins Docker GitHub Pub/Sub SonarQube and IntelliJ to orchestrate the end-to-end application development lifecycle. 4. Providing guidance in architecting solutions for application enhancements ensuring scalability performance and alignment with organizational goals. 5. Working with architects by developing data model diagrams and discussing referential integrities; working with data architects to develop schemas on SQL server GCP Big query Postgres MySQL and Oracle SQL. 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Utilizing GCP OAuth Active Directory and agile methodologies to drive efficient software delivery. 2. Consuming and integrating with pre-trained Large Language Models (LLMs) via APIs for tasks including text summarization sentiment analysis or question answering. 3. Utilizing Cloud Run for efficient deployment of applications leveraging hands-on experience with GCP PCF and Jenkins and adhering to best practices. 4. Working with designers using the designer technical tools including Figma Miro Adobe XD or Invision to discuss data and technical feasibility.
We are offering a salary of$138486.00 - $185964.96/yr.
