About the Organization
This opportunity is with a veterinary organization that partners with established general practices to co-own and operate after-hours urgent carea model designed to expand access to care while building long-term practice value.
This is not a typical single-clinic job; clinicians are joining a growth-focused partnership-backed urgent care expansion inside existing hospitals (leveraging existing facilities and teams).
Work Authorization
Open to candidates who already have U.S. work authorization.
The Role
Youll treat urgent non-life-threatening cases during after-hours blocks and serve as a key clinical contributor to the urgent care service line.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide urgent care evaluation and treatment (triage diagnostics treatment plans and stabilization when needed) after hours.
- Independently perform soft-tissue surgeries and procedural care.
- Perform laceration repairs confidently and routinely (suturing wound management bandaging).
- Communicate clearly with pet parents coordinate handoffs and follow-ups with the daytime GP team.
- Help maintain high medical standards and efficient patient flow in a fast-paced setting.
Required Qualifications
- DVM/VMD (or equivalent) eligible for licensure in the state of practice.
- Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience.
- Hands-on surgical experience and a proven track record of laceration repair.
- Comfortable working in an urgent care setting and making sound clinical decisions.
- Long-term mindset: seeking stability and a practice home where you can settle in.
