We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the team in GE Vernovas Gas Power facility in Pensacola Fl. Become a key part of a strategic engineering team taking products and processes from concept to operational stability utilizing standard lean manufacturing principles for the this role you will collaborate across multiple organizations to design develop procure install and qualify new manufacturing equipment delivering full production ready processes. The Manufacturing Engineering team will provide technical support and implement solutions for the Pensacola factory to improve safety quality delivery and cost.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design develop procure install and qualify new manufacturing equipment delivering full production ready processes while project managing internal/external team members and vendors.
• Develop and maintain tooling manufacturing instructions procedures and standards to ensure consistent quality and compliance with regulations.
• Provide technical and process support to manufacturing teams troubleshoot equipment and process issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products and provide input during the product development phase.
• Manage New Product Introduction including technical design review tooling and equipment acquisition and overall project schedule management of a cross-functional manufacturing engineering and materials team.
• Conduct root cause analysis to address production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities for automation and implement advanced technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
• Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 8-10 years of Manufacturing/Engineering experience

Eligibility Requirements

• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as investment casting CNC machining thermal barrier coatings diffusion coatings brazing or additive manufacturing.
• Experience with problem-solving tools (e.g. 8D RCA DMAIC).
• Proficient with CAD/CAM tools (e.g. NX Creo) and data analysis software (e.g. Minitab Excel).
• Understanding of quality systems including AS9100 ISO 9001 or equivalent.
• Ability to travel 50% during the first year to other Generator Value Stream Factories. (North America and may have some International travel)

Desired Characteristics

• Proven technical experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Established project management skills as well as consistent communication of project status / escalation points.
• Design software experience (NX SolidWorks AutoCAD or similar CAD software).
• Ability to coordinate and manage several projects simultaneously experience. working with vendors and construction companies to execute projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills ability to influence others and lead small teams.
• Technical print and specification reading and writing abilities

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $104600.00 and $174400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
