Job Summary:

The Painter I sprays the surfaces of machines manufactured products or working area with protective or decorative material.

Additional Information:

• Schedule: Regular schedule is Monday Friday 6:00 AM 3:00 PM currently working 6:00 AM 5:00 PM
  
• Overtime based on business need
  
• Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

• Starting pay is $21.90 an hour can be adjusted based on experience
  

What you will do:

• At SPM Oil & Gas our primary objective is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service
  
• Responsible for the preparation of product for painting
  
• Preparation of paint supplies for the applicable product
  
• Completes daily production logs to meet environmental and safety standards
  
• Performs daily preventative maintenance of work area
  
• Maintain routine housekeeping to eliminate workplace hazards
  
• Paint parts per work instructions Standard Operating Procedures blueprints Risk Assessment and job routers
  
• Works with Material Coordinator on inventory levels to ensure production levels are maintained
  
• Performs other duties as assigned
  

What you will have:

• Minimum of three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  
• Ability to pass a fit test to ensure painting mask will fit properly and eliminate any potential safety hazards
  
• Due to the requirement to wear a painting mask employees must have limited facial hair
  

Physical Demands:

• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
  
• Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl
  
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  
• Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department
  

Work Environment:

• Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles
  
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions
  
• Occasionally exposed to high precarious places and vibration
  
• Noise Level: Moderate
