Job Description: Home Helpers of Modesto is seeking a compassionate and patient caregiver for an assignment supporting a child in Manteca.
This is a meaningful opportunity for caregivers who have experience (or interest) in working with children with developmental disabilities and are confident providing calm supportive care.
Client Overview:
Child with Down syndrome
Non-verbal
May experience occasional frustration or behavioral moments
Requires a caregiver who is patient attentive and skilled in redirection
Responsibilities:
Provide supervision and companionship
Engage in age-appropriate activities
Support emotional regulation and redirect behaviors as needed
Maintain a safe and structured environment
Communicate updates with the office
Qualifications:
Experience with pediatric care and/or developmental disabilities preferred
Patient calm and dependable
Ability to manage behaviors in a professional and supportive manner
Reliable transportation
Must meet all California Home Care Aide (HCA) requirements
