Lead Maintenance Technician

Role Overview

The Lead Maintenance Technician serves as the technical leader for maintenance operations in a highvolume pharmacy automation and distribution environment. This role combines handson troubleshooting with leadership responsibilities acting as the primary point of contact for equipment reliability technician development and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead train and mentor maintenance technicians; assign and prioritize troubleshooting tasks
• Maintain troubleshoot and repair electrical mechanical and automated systems
• Diagnose issues across PLCcontrolled equipment conveyors printers compressors and related automation
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic
• Track equipment downtime and support preventive maintenance schedules
• Create and maintain SOPs/STPs and support parts inventory management
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
• Promote safety quality and McKesson I2CARE principles on the production floor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of industrial maintenance or facilities engineering experience
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (AC/DC PLCs controls)
• Working knowledge of mechanical pneumatic and networked systems
• Prior lead or senior maintenance experience preferred
• Experience with SOPs LOTO OSHA and work order systems a plus

Preferred

• Technical degree or trade certification
• NEC knowledge and light electrical construction experience
