About the Job:
Were looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Coder/Biller to join our clients this role youll be handling patient records making sure diagnoses and procedures are coded correctly and helping ensure billing is accurate and compliant. Youll work closely with healthcare providers and other stakeholders so being organized and attentive to details is really important here.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review patient charts and documentation to assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes
- Gather and check medical information from providers to ensure proper coding
- Handle coding and sequencing of diagnoses treatments and procedures for inpatient and day surgeries
- Go through provider documentation to identify primary diagnoses co-morbidities complications and other conditions
- Use ICD-CM CPT and HCPCS codes accurately and keep up with any updates
- Flag and help resolve any issues related to incorrect coding or incomplete documentation
- Keep patient records confidential at all times
- Review denied claims and assist with preparing appeals
- Coordinate with clients and maintain good working relationships
- Share updates related to coding and billing when needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a medical or allied health-related field.
- 1 years of proven experience as a Medical Coder and/or Medical Biller.
- Knowledge of ICD-CM CPT and HCPCS coding systems.
- Certified Medical Coder/Biller is preferred.
- Experience in outpatient coding or emergency department (ED) coding is an advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with providers patients and payers.
- Willing to work in Taguig and on a graveyard shift.
- Can start immediately if possible.
