Role Overview

The Golf Course Greenkeeper is responsible for maintaining the impeccable condition of the golf course ensuring that it meets the highest standards of playability and aesthetics. This role involves the maintenance of greens fairways and bunkers and the implementation of sustainable practices to enhance the overall quality of the course. Candidates will possess a strong knowledge of turf management a passion for golf and a dedication to maintaining an exceptional golfing environment for our members and guests.

The primary purpose of the Golf Course Greenkeeper is to ensure the golf course remains in pristine condition. The scope of this covers the greens fairways roughs bunkers and other course areas. Responsibilities include soil management mowing and landscaping as well as coordinating with others to execute maintenance schedules effectively. The Greenkeeper plays a vital role in enhancing the golfing experience by maintaining course standards that reflect the exclusivity and excellence of our club.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in a similar level of golf course maintenance or turf management preferably in a luxury or high-end golf environment.
• General Knowledge of Greenkeeping.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining greenkeeping equipment.

Responsibilities

Course Maintenance:

• Maintain bunkers sand traps and other specialised course areas to ensure they meet playability standards.
• Repair and maintain cart paths and other course infrastructure.
• Assist with landscaping features including trees and shrubs.

Equipment Management:

• Ensure all maintenance equipment is in good working condition through regular inspections and servicing.
• Coordinate with the Mechanic any repairs and replacements of equipment as needed.
