12 months Secondment

Overall Purpose of Job

Were launching a transformative Intensive Community Support Programme in Newham and were looking for up to two Senior Clinicians to be part of this new model of care.

About the Role

Youll be part of a small specialist team delivering flexible therapeutic community-based support to young people aged 1318 who are at risk of family or placement breakdown based within Newham Councils Edge of Care Service. The structure of this new team will be an 8b service lead these 2 posts a band 7 post and an OT role. This is not a traditional crisis or inpatient role this is a unique opportunity to part of a service that offers early intensive support in the community tailored to the needs of young people with complex presentations.

You will be based within Newham Councils Edge of Care Service and work closely with partners across health social care and education to deliver high-impact interventions and reduce the need for restrictive practices.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Lead on complex assessments formulations and interventions
  • Be supported by up to four staff from a range of specialisms
  • Offer consultation supervision and training to professionals and care teams
  • Foster strong multi-agency partnerships and system-wide collaboration
  • Champion inclusive trauma-informed and neurodiversity-aware care pathways
  • Be part of service development evaluation and quality improvement

What Were Looking For

Essential:

  • Professional registration (e.g. Clinical Psychologist Systemic Psychotherapy RMN OT Social Worker Child Psychotherapist)
  • Experience in CAMHS or related services
  • Expertise in working with young people with complex needs neurodiversity and trauma
  • Clinical supervision skills
  • Experience in safeguarding and risk management
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care models

Desirable:

  • Experience in service evaluation audit and quality improvement
  • Knowledge of Positive Behavioural Support care models
