This role sits at the core of the platform the integration layer connecting hospitals clinics and EHR systems where reliability directly impacts clinical workflows.

This is not just backend engineering this is building the nervous system of healthcare AI systems.

What Youll Do

• Design and own complex integration systems (EHR / EMR / APIs)

• Map and understand undocumented or legacy systems

• Build reliable backend systems with:

  • Async patterns

  • Queues

  • Observability

• Own production:

  • Runbooks

  • Incident handling

  • System reliability

• Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical guidance

• Engage with open-source ecosystems (debugging contributing extending)

Tech Stack

• TypeScript Python
• PostgreSQL MongoDB
  
• REST APIs GraphQL

What Were Looking For

• 5 years of backend engineering experience

• Strong expertise in:

  • TypeScript

  • Python

• Deep understanding of:

  • Async systems

  • Queues

  • Error handling

  • Observability

• Experience building integration-heavy systems

• Comfortable working in ambiguity with high ownership

Bonus:

• Healthcare / EMR / EHR integrations

• REST GraphQL API design
