Kingston Health Sciences Centre is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to help deliver accurate timely financial reporting that supports patient care and informed decision-making. PRIMARY FUNCTION
As the Financial Reporting Analyst you will provide dedicated financial support to ensure compliance with Ministry of Health and MIS/OHRS reporting requirements. You will play a key role in internal and external reporting with a strong focus on financial reporting and the recognition of revenue from global and activity-based funding.
- Lead revenue recognition for hospital global funding and activity-based funding.
- Oversee periodic inventory accounting processes year-end reconciliations and related journal entry transactions.
- Maintain the integrity of the financial and statistical general ledgers.
- Create and maintain master data (e.g. cost elements internal orders GL accounts) and support chart of accounts maintenance in accordance with MIS Guidelines and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Prepare quarterly external reporting including (but not limited to) Ministry/Ontario Health SRI MIS Trial Balance (financial and statistical) Annual Community Planning Submission HHR and other submissions as required.
- Partner with operational leaders across designated functional centres (Hospital CMHA MCCSS MOHEHS) to support budgeting forecasting data analysis and ad hoc reporting.
- Assess financial risks and develop forecasts and financing scenarios; prepare reports recommendations and supporting documentation related to capital management.
- Analyze capital projects and provide financial input to support decision-making.
- Prepare reporting for financial institutions in accordance with lending agreements.
- Support year-end audit activities and other fund audits as required including Provincial Consolidation.
- Provide additional support to the Manager Financial Reporting and contribute to related projects and priorities as needed.

- CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant).
- 13 years of hospital financial reporting experience (3 years preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with an ERP system.
- OHRS certificates (preferred).
- Ability to attend work regularly.
- Satisfactory criminal reference check and vulnerable sector search required.
