Location: Hybrid role based in Irvine California. Exceptional candidates with strong workers compensation defense experience may be considered for a remote arrangement.

Note: You must be an active member of the California Bar in good standing and have at least 1 year of litigation experience.

Job Description

• Handle workers compensation defense matters through all stages of litigation
• Attend hearings manage discovery take and defend depositions and support motion practice
• Draft reports pleadings legal correspondence and other litigation documents
• Evaluate claims analyze exposure and help develop effective defense strategies
• Communicate proactively with clients carriers opposing counsel and team members
• Work closely with experienced attorneys who provide mentorship and training
• Partner with dedicated support staff to produce high-quality timely work
• Build a long-term practice with a firm in growth mode and a strong reputation in the market

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing
• 1 year of litigation experience required
• Workers compensation defense experience preferred but not required
• Strong writing analytical organizational and communication skills
• Motivated professional and able to manage cases and deadlines effectively
• Comfortable with technology and modern case management tools

  • 1 to 2 years directly relevant litigation experience: $90000 to $115000

  • 3 to 5 years relevant litigation experience: $115000 to $150000

  • 6 to 9 years strong litigation / workers comp defense experience: $150000 to $180000

  • Senior / highly marketable workers comp defense attorney: $180000 to $200000
