Schedule: Monday through Thursday 11:00 AM 7:30 PM
Job Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a temporary assignment in Reno Nevada to cover a pharmacist absence from May 15 through June 4. In this role you will be responsible for accurately dispensing prescription medications ensuring compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations maintaining confidential and precise patient records and providing patient counseling on the safe and effective use of medications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws regulations and standards
- Maintain accurate up-to-date and confidential patient records
- Counsel patients on medication usage including dosage storage side effects and potential drug interactions
- Provide consultation on both prescription and over-the-counter medications
- Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential overuse or misuse patterns
- Identify and resolve drug-related concerns
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions as required
- Supervise pharmacy staff and support daily pharmacy operations
- Maintain proper inventory levels of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree required
- Active state pharmacist license required
