About the Role
The client is seeking a Manager of Facility and Engineering Services to lead plant operations and maintenance functions within a hospital environment. This is a full-time on-site leadership role responsible for overseeing life safety environment of care and overall facility operations.
This individual will manage a team of 11 employees and be responsible for ensuring all physical structures HVAC mechanical electrical systems utilities and grounds are maintained in a safe and fully operational condition. The role includes planning organizing and supervising maintenance activities while also supporting budgeting purchasing payroll and departmental performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role where the manager will serve as a technical resource support team activities and ensure delivery of high-quality services that meet or exceed internal customer expectations. The position also requires participation in on-call responsibilities.
Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma required
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of facility maintenance experience required
Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare facility setting strongly preferred
Experience managing or supervising maintenance teams preferred
Certifications (Preferred):
Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM)
Additional Requirements:
Strong knowledge of facility systems including HVAC electrical and mechanical
Experience with life safety and environment of care standards
Ability to manage budgets labor and materials effectively
Strong leadership organizational and problem-solving skills
Valid drivers license required
