Job Summary

Location: Oshkosh (Onsite with flexibility)
Type: Contract (6 months) Strong Contract-to-Hire Potential
Schedule: Day Shift (Standard Business Hours)
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship Required

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components and vehicle systems for heavy-duty/off-highway equipment
  • Create 3D CAD models and assemblies using PTC Creo
  • Perform engineering analysis calculations and design validation
  • Generate 2D drawings GD&T specifications and bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Support vehicle integration packaging and system-level design
  • Evaluate designs for performance durability safety and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing supply chain suppliers)
  • Provide production and troubleshooting support for engineering issues
  • Analyze and resolve design failures field issues and test results
  • Prepare technical reports documentation and presentations
  • Mentor junior engineers and support project execution

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 3 years of experience in mechanical design / product development
  • Experience with 3D CAD (Creo strongly preferred; SolidWorks NX CATIA acceptable)
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Mechanical systems design
    • Engineering drawings & GD&T
    • Materials and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced cross-functional engineering environment

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with heavy-duty vehicles automotive defense or off-highway equipment
  • Familiarity with PLM tools such as Windchill
  • Experience with:
    • Structural components / chassis / frames
    • Hydraulics powertrain or vehicle systems
    • FEA / engineering analysis tools
  • Background supporting prototype builds or manufacturing environments
