Job Type: Contract (6 months) with strong potential for contract-to-hire

Overview

Join a high-impact engineering team focused on designing and developing heavy-duty vehicle systems and components. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working across the full product lifecyclefrom concept and analysis to production supportwhile contributing to both new and existing vehicle platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop functional reliable and cost-effective vehicle components and systems
  • Perform engineering analysis calculations and design validation activities
  • Support integration and execution of component and system designs into vehicle platforms
  • Create and review technical drawings layouts specifications and bills of material (BOMs)
  • Evaluate designs for performance safety and reliability
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and production teams
  • Analyze and resolve engineering issues; communicate status clearly to stakeholders
  • Prepare technical reports proposals and presentations
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and engineering records
  • Mentor junior engineers designers or technicians as needed

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
  • 3 years of relevant engineering experience

Preferred / Standout Experience:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with automotive or heavy-duty vehicle systems
  • Proficiency in CAD tools such as PTC Creo and Windchill
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in system modeling and performance optimization
