Pay: $202500.00 - $227500.00 per year

Location: Hybrid role based in Austin Texas with attorneys expected in the office 23 days per week for collaboration mentorship and team connection.

Note: Candidates must have law firm experience a background in affordable housing finance and/or commercial real estate transactions strong academics and admission in Texas. Candidates must be located in Texas or willing to relocate to Austin.

Job Description

• Handle affordable housing finance and commercial real estate transactional matters.
• Represent clients in multifamily and affordable housing-related transactions.
• Work on matters involving federal state and local housing finance programs.
• Draft review and negotiate transaction documents.
• Support deal execution from structuring through closing.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the practice on sophisticated real estate finance matters.
• Advise clients on transaction strategy documentation and related legal issues.
• Manage multiple matters in a productive fast-paced practice environment.

Qualifications

• 4 years of directly relevant attorney experience
• Law firm experience required
• Experience in affordable housing finance and/or commercial real estate transactions
• Strong academics
• Strong writing research negotiation organizational and communication skills
• Texas bar admission required
• Experience with Section 103 Section 142(d) Section 42 Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac matters is a plus
