Project Manager Southern California

Please note: This is a hybrid role - 2 days on-site per week in Morro Bay Blythe Barstow or Perris / 3 days working remotely

Our client is a leading global construction consultancy renowned for delivering high-profile complex construction projects acting as the Owners Representative. With a strong focus on sustainability and innovation they are truly at the forefront of their industry.

We are currently seeking talented full-time Project Manager with 5 - 8 years of construction project management or engineering experience to serve as an Owners Representative on multiple retail tenant improvement projects. This role is responsible for onsite construction execution coordination of contractors and vendors schedule and budget control and ensuring compliance with client standards and regulatory requirements in retail store environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage daytoday field execution for retail tenant improvement projects ensuring adherence to approved plans specifications and client standards.
• Develop and maintain construction and fixturing schedules lookahead plans and constraint logs.
• Lead site kickoff meetings validate existing conditions and identify risks access limitations and utility impacts.
• Coordinate General Contractors specialty trades vendors and landlord scope to maintain critical path flow.
• Track progress budgets RFIs submittals change orders inspections and punch lists.
• Oversee fixture logistics including receiving inventory staging and reorders.
• Serve as the primary field contact; provide daily reporting weekly status updates and participate in OAC and program meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 - 8 years of retail construction experience including acting as the Owners Representative.
• Experience managing tenant improvements and coordinating multiple trades and vendors.
• Knowledge of pharmacy construction inspections and AHJ coordination under California codes.
• Strong communication organization and documentation skills.
