About the Role
We are partnering with a well-established community-focused bank seeking an experienced Comptroller / CFO to join its executive leadership team. This is a key strategic role for a banking finance leader who values stability collaboration and a relationship-driven culture over corporate bureaucracy.
The ideal candidate will oversee all financial operations ensure regulatory compliance and drive long-term financial strategy and growth while serving as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial strategy planning and forecasting aligned with bank growth objectives
- Oversee financial reporting ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and banking regulations
- Manage capital adequacy liquidity and balance sheet optimization (Basel III compliance)
- Direct treasury operations investment oversight and asset-liability management (ALM)
- Monitor and mitigate financial risks including credit market and liquidity risk
- Lead budgeting variance analysis and financial performance reporting
- Ensure strong internal controls audit readiness and regulatory compliance
- Present financial insights and reports to executive leadership and the board
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 58 years of progressive finance/accounting experience preferably in banking
- Strong knowledge of GAAP regulatory reporting and financial compliance
- Experience with FCC AML or BSA compliance strongly preferred
- Proven leadership in financial strategy risk management and executive reporting
