Laminator Operator I Manufacturing Production Job (Elk Grove Village IL)

Location: Elk Grove Village IL
Shift: 5:45 PM 6:15 AM 12-hour continental schedule (3 days one week 4 days the next off every other weekend)
Pay: $21.10/hour $2.00 shift differential (Effective Rate: $23.10/hour)

We are hiring a Laminator Operator I to join our manufacturing production team in Elk Grove Village. This role is responsible for safely operating laminating equipment ensuring product quality and maintaining efficient production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate laminating machines safely and efficiently
• Mix adhesives according to established formulas and verify calculations
• Perform first-piece inspection to ensure product quality standards
• Set up and operate lathe equipment when required
• Interpret job orders and follow production specifications accurately
• Maintain clean and safe work areas in compliance with SQF standards
• Handle raw materials substrates and adhesive changes during production
• Manage hazardous waste containers and follow safety procedures
• Report quality issues safety concerns and equipment problems immediately
• Support machine operation coverage and production needs as assigned
• Participate in audits safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of machine operator or manufacturing experience (laminator experience preferred)
• Ability to read a ruler or tape measure accurately
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Experience working with chemicals or adhesives is a plus
• Strong focus on safety quality and attendance
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
