Job Description

• Handle asbestos toxic tort and products liability litigation matters from case inception through resolution
• Research analyze and interpret statutes regulations ordinances court decisions and legal opinions
• Independently manage a litigation caseload and drive cases forward
• Monitor case files and deadlines to ensure matters stay on track
• Investigate facts and legal issues to help determine causes of action and support case strategy
• Assist with document review and case analysis
• Conduct depositions and attend hearings in various counties and courthouses
• Work closely with the team on defense strategy case development and litigation execution

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Bar license in good standing
• 3 years of litigation experience
• Deposition experience required
• Strong writing research and analytical skills
• Toxic tort or asbestos experience preferred
• Missouri license is a plus
• Ability to manage cases with increasing independence and responsibility
