Location: Hybrid role based in Edwardsville Illinois offering a strong mix of in-office collaboration and work-from-home flexibility.

Note: Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in Illinois and have 4 years of litigation experience. Defense-side general liability or premises liability experience is strongly preferred.

Job Description

• Handle premises liability and general liability litigation matters from case inception through resolution
• Independently manage a litigation caseload and drive cases forward
• Research analyze and interpret statutes regulations ordinances court decisions and legal opinions
• Draft pleadings motions and discovery
• Conduct depositions and attend hearings in various counties and courthouses
• Monitor case files and deadlines to ensure matters stay on track
• Investigate facts and legal issues to support liability analysis and case strategy
• Work closely with the team on defense strategy case development and client reporting

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Bar license in good standing
• 4 years of litigation experience
• Strong writing research and analytical skills
• Defense-side litigation experience preferred
• Premises liability or general liability experience preferred
• Deposition experience preferred
• Missouri license is a plus
• Ability to manage cases with increasing independence and responsibility
