Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Access Control Technician for an active project requiring hands-on installation of access control hardware and REX devices within live data center environments. This is an opportunity with immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
- Install access control readers sounders and request-to-exit (REX) devices with resistors
- Complete approximately 100 REX with resistor installations per project scope
- Apply heat shrink using heat guns to ensure clean code-compliant terminations
- Work within active data center environments while adhering to strict site protocols and safety requirements
- Follow low-voltage installation best practices and maintain professionalism in sensitive high-security spaces
- Coordinate with project leadership to stay on schedule and meet quality standards
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with access control installation
- Demonstrated experience with REX devices and resistor wiring
- Proficiency with heat shrink application and heat gun use
- Prior experience working in active data center or mission-critical environments preferred
- Must own personal hand tools
- Must be able to pass site badging (background check required badging process begins next week)
