The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor at St. Jerome Catholic Church oversees the comprehensive upkeep of our campus including the Church Rectory Child Center and School. Thisrole is responsible for the operational integrity of all grounds and buildings with a primary focus on mechanical plumbing and electrical systems inherent to parochial and educational facilities. The Supervisor is the primary steward of the parish building conducting comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules fire safety inspections and energy conservation audits to ensure a safe and sustainable environment for parishioners students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance:Manage allfire inspectionsand maintain safety checklistsfor the school and child center.
Daily Inspections:Conduct daily walkthroughs of all boilersand roofing systemsto ensure operational safety and prevent leaks/failures.
HVAC Management:Troubleshoot service and coordinate repairs for HVAC systems across the campus.
Grounds & Operations:Oversee lawn care/mowing and snow removal contractors. Grounds work as needed to maintain the campus.
Staff Leadership:Supervise internal maintenance staff and manage all outside contractors ensuring work is completed safely and on schedule.
Inventory:Maintain an organized inventory of tools supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
Experience:Extensive experience in facility maintenance with at least 3 years in a maintenance role.
HVAC Expertise: Experiencemaintaining and troubleshooting HVAC systems (Certification preferred).
Technical Skills:Proficiency in boiler operation carpentry plumbing and electrical work.
Regulatory Knowledge:Familiarity with fire codes and safety regulations for educational/childcare facilities.
Communication:Ability to work professionally with parish leadership school staff and the Archdiocese.
Licensing:Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift/move up to50 poundsand climb ladders to perform roof inspections.
Ability to work in various environments including mechanical rooms crawl spaces and outdoors in all weather conditions.
This role is full time Monday- Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm and the salary is $60000 to $65000 with excellent benefits.
