Located in vibrant San Francisco The Category Management & Shopper Insights Director (Catman) plays a critical role guiding Sales and Customer Marketing by delivering highquality category shopper and customer insights that drive growth across multiple retail partners. This role operates as a visible commercial leader and an strategic thought partner to Sales Account teams translating syndicated and customer data into clear actionable recommendations on assortment distribution shelving and pricing; and positioning our organization as a trusted advisor in Better for You products driving our Category Captaincy addition the role also works crossfunctionally with Marketing and Innovation in shaping our brand and portfolio strategies. The individual in this position manages a team of eight talented people and oversees multiple data and research third-party partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead high-impact business forums and customer engagements providing a forward-looking perspective on category performance shopper behavior and competitive dynamics across our Home Care Personal Care and Pet Care lines.
- Develop factbased category growth narratives using syndicated and customer data to support Customers Line Reviews and Customer Marketing plans.
- Set and drive the agenda for retailer engagement leading category conversations with key customers (e.g. Target Kroger) and strengthening the companys position as a trusted Advisor or Category Captain.
- Elevate the collaboration with Marketing and Innovation teams to inform portfolio strategy product development and innovation pipelines.
- Build and develop a high-performing team fostering a culture of ownership accountability and strategic thinking while strengthening future leadership capability.
- Advance analytical capabilities and external partnerships with major data providers like Nielsen Mintel Kantar Numerator etc to optimize the use of syndicated data enhancing insights generation and predictive thinking.
- Oversee the Nielsen On-Site resource to address analytical requirements for Sales and Marketing.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOULL BRING
- 10 years of experience in Category Management Shopper Insights and/or Sales Analytics preferably at a Consumer-Packaged Goods company.
- Strong experience working with syndicated data and customer data platforms (e.g. NIQ/Nielsen Numerator Euromonitor Walmart Scintilla Amazon Vendor Central).
- Bachelors Degree required.

- Multi-tasked with strong crossfunctional collaboration skills with Sales Marketing and Data partners.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Great office work environment: Remote work available once a week.
- Role is eligible for domestic relocation
- Domestic travel required a few times per year to support customers and internal meetings.
