Team Overview

Our Research & Development (R&D) team is the technical talent at the heart of our product suite overseeing the product development lifecycle from concept to delivery. From engineering to quality assurance to data science the R&D team ensures our customers seamlessly use our products and can depend on their consistency.

Description

This is a highly technical hands-on engineering role focused on platform development automation and leveraging AI to migrate and refactor legacy business logic and reporting configurations into a modern cloud architecture.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical challenges working with modern cloud-native architectures and applying AI-driven tooling to accelerate development and modernization.

Your day-to-day job will consist of:

• Design and build AWS serverless components using services such as Lambda Step Functions API Gateway and related technologies.
• Develop backend services and platform components using Python TypeScript and SQL.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and data access workloads; experience with Snowflake or modern cloud data warehouses is beneficial.
• Implement AI-driven solutions to extract business logic from legacy codebases and assist in generating report configuration metadata and parameter interfaces.
• Build systems that support automated logic validation and migration workflows.
• Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and cross-functional teams on architecture design and platform roadmap execution.
• Contribute to code quality testing performance tuning logging monitoring and observability practices.
• Participate in design reviews and architecture discussions to continuously improve the platform and development processes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant and related work experience.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• Travel occasionally up to 5-10% for key moments such as team summits training conferences etc. with increased frequency during peak periods based on business demands.
• This position is subject to company on call policies which constitutes working hours outside of the normal workday as needed.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript for backend and platform development.
• Strong SQL expertise including complex transformations and data modeling for reporting workloads.
• Experience implementing AI-driven engineering workflows such as LLM integrations embeddings or automated code generation.
• Experience building distributed systems data-intensive applications or modernizing legacy platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex business logic and legacy systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake or modern cloud data warehouse platforms.

• Familiarity with ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipeline architectures.

• Experience with AI automation tools code-generation frameworks or metadata extraction pipelines.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $79700 - $136800 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicants skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures degrees and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
