Injection Molding Field Service Technician

We are hiring an experienced Injection Molding Field Service Technician to support high-precision plastic injection molding machines across the U.S. This role involves machine installation troubleshooting maintenance repair upgrades and customer training in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates have 35 years of experience in the plastics or injection molding industry and enjoy hands-on technical field service work with nationwide travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Install start up repair and maintain injection molding machines
• Troubleshoot mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues
• Provide on-site technical support and customer training
• Travel 5080% nationwide for field service work
• Support sales and engineering teams on customer projects and machine evaluations
• Assist with machine trials upgrades and performance improvements
• Manage service documentation and CRM updates (MS Dynamics 365)
• Coordinate with international OEM partners (China Europe India)
• Support spare parts inventory and showroom demonstrations

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in injection molding or plastics manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of plastic processing and molding machinery
• Field service maintenance or technical troubleshooting experience preferred
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel extensively
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Dynamics 365 experience a plus)
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
