Maintenance Technician Apprentice

THE ROLE:

Our site in Chaska MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician Apprentice to join our team.

The MaintenanceTechnicianApprenticeperforms a variety of tasks and assignments including the maintenance and repair of production equipment and facility infrastructure. The focus will be on equipment uptime and reliability preventative maintenance safety troubleshooting controls and automation equipment and process improvements.

This position will gain experience as a Maintenance Technician while completing relevant coursework through the apprenticeship program.

HOURS FOR THIS POSITION IS FIRST SHIFT MONDAY-FRIDAY (FLEXIBLE HOURS DEPENDING ON COURSEWORK) WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK ON 2ND OR 3RD SHIFT FULL TIME AFTER APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM IS COMPLETED.

WHAT YOULL DO:

• Repairsreplacesand tests of electrical circuits on equipment. Isolates defects in wiring switchesmotorsand other electrical equipment using testing instruments. Replaces faulty switchessocketsand other elements of electrical andcompletescircuits per diagram specifications.

• Stays current with all codes and attends Entegris training.

• Performs all workin accordance withestablished safety procedures. Inspects completed work for conformance with job specifications and safety requirements.

• Serves as a primary resource for controls and automation maintenance issues.

• Utilizes the computerized work order andcompletesall required documentation thoroughly andtimely.

• Focuses on key business processes to influence customer satisfaction waste elimination growth costeffectivenessand product quality.

• Follows standard Engineering and Technology practices and procedures. Participates in Entegris continual quality improvement process and dedication to customer satisfaction.

• Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

• Maintains a clean and safe work area. WearsrequiredPersonal Protective Equipment. Performs duties in a safe manner andobservesapproved safety procedures.

• Communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor and identifies and corrects potential unsafe conditions.

• Robot PMs inspection of pneumatic and electrical connections and lines for functionality.

• Inspection of in-house built equipment and associated PMs.

• Replace components and adjust sensors whenrequired.

• Adjust production floor robot program points and troubleshoot robot functional issues that arise.

• Troubleshoot and adjust in-house built and vendor custom built equipment issuespertaining tosensors motor drives vision systemsPLCand HMI issues.

• Network communication to and from equipment - troubleshooting and repair of issues.

• Support Tooling setup aftermoldtear down for service or cleaning by adjusting core servo homing adjustment.

• Add new variant part numbers to Automated equipment.

• Update test inspection programs for new variant partsand ortest spec updates to current equipment.

• Update data output info to CamLine for data collection of current equipment.

• Connection of production floor robots to RJG for bad part quarantine.

• Clear all robots and automated equipment for safe re-startafter a power outage or shut down.

• Work with and support robotics Electrical (AC/DC) hydraulics pneumatic servo motors sensors HMI interfaces and complex mechanical equipment.

• Provide support for PLC HMIservoand stepper drivesFauncSeproand Star Robots and vision systems.

WHAT WE SEEK:

• Two-yeartechnical degree (controls automation robotics electrical mechanical electricaletc) (or) equivalent experience and training in a manufacturing environment.

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Knowledge of Solid works or CAD or equivalent Word Excel.

• Requireshighdegree of mechanical aptitude and creative problem solving.

• Requires hands on electrical experience.

• Requires advanced troubleshooting skills.

• Require self-motivation and self-direction.

• Ability to work occasionally on weekends and overtimeasrequired.

• Ability to work occasionally on call.

• Ability to work independently.

• Ability to train and support co-workers.

• Must be able tolift upto 45 pounds at times.

• Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn on the production floor. This includes the use of safety glasses steel-toed shoesrespiratory protectionand high-visibility vests.

• Adherence to cleanroom attire standards isrequired(when incleanroom).This includes the use of specified protective gear and garments (gown hair and beard nets shoe coverings and gloves) designed tomaintaina clean and controlled work environment.

• This role involves working from elevated heights at times. Use of harness and other protective equipmentarerequired.

• This role involves repetitively pinching and grasping hand tools aswellrepetitively twisting and bending.

• Compensation: $28-$32 hourly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
