Package range: $111798 - $132585. Package includes salary ($98499 - $116813 per annum paid pro-rata) employers superannuation and annual leave loading. (Salary offered will be based on experience).

About the role
Were seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Hairdressing students by joining our team of teachers on a permanent part-time (0.3 FTE 10.5 hours per week) basis located at Dubbo Campus with travel to Broken Hill and other TAFE NSW Campuses required.
In this role you will deliver educational programs and facilitate learning enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes. Proudly teach the art and craft of professional hairdressing combining creativity with strong technical expertise. Guide students to develop confidence in cutting colouring styling and diagnosing hair and scalp conditions while delivering personalised clientfocused salon services. Lead learners through handson industrybased training that builds their practical skills professional judgement and readiness for work enabling them to graduate with a nationally recognised qualification and a strong foundation for a successful career in the hair and beauty industry.

Essential Requirements:
- Have appropriate subject knowledge skills and vocational qualifications with a minimum level of Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent.
- Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training (see the candidate support document (here) for details) OR a willingness to undertake our full time 14 week Paid to Learn course.
- Have a minimum of five (5) years full time post qualification experience relevant to your industry gained no longer than three (3) years previously.
Highly regarded but not essential: Certificate III in Barbering or equivalent (Mens Skill Set or Barbering Licence).
This is a targeted recruitment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in accordance with Rule 26 of the Government Sector Employment (General) Rules 2014 - Employment of eligible persons. As such preference will be given to candidates who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. If no suitable candidate is found other applications may also be considered. Aboriginal candidates selected for an interview will be required to provide Confirmation of Aboriginality documentation at or before interview.
Paid to Learn: for candidates who do not hold an appropriate VET teaching qualification or equivalent you have the option to be paid to learn as you transition from industry to teaching with guaranteed work following successful completion of the 14 weeks Training and Assessment course. Those who already hold the appropriate teaching qualification or equivalent are still eligible to apply.
Applicants for part-time positions should note that participation in the 14week PTL program requires full-time attendance of 35 hours per week throughout the 14 week program.
