Associate Wheel and Brake Overhaul Technician

Company:

Boeing Distribution Inc (BDI) has an opening for Associate Wheel and Brake Overhaul Technician. You will be responsible for the end-to-end overhaul process of critical landing gear components. Working within acertified FAA Part 145 Repair Station you will ensure that all wheel and brake assemblies meet the highest standards of airworthiness and safety before being returned to service. This role requires a high degree of precision mechanical aptitude and strict adherence to technical data.

Position Responsibilities:

• Disassemble complex wheel and brake units including the removal of tires bearings and hydraulic components. Perform industrial cleaning and grit blasting to prepare parts for inspection.

• Perform repairs modifications and overhauls on carbon and steel brake assemblies and wheel hubs in accordance withComponent Maintenance Manuals (CMMs).

• Reassemble components ensuring proper torque and balance. Conduct functional and pressure testing to verify hydraulic integrity and leak-free operation.

• Accurately complete all maintenance records work orders and FAA-required documentation. Ensure all work aligns with theRepair Station Manual (RSM)andQuality Control Manual (QCM).

• Exposure to shop environments including noise vibrations and hazardous materials

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Ability to read and interpretblue print drawings CMMs illustrated parts catalogs (IPCs) and service bulletins.

• Experienced in using hand tools torque wrenches hydraulic presses and precision measuring equipment.

• Ability to lift up to35 lbsand stand for extended periods.

• Precision-driven work requires manual dexterity and keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• A&P Certification

• Bachelors degree or equivalent

• 1 years of experience in an aircraft component repair or overhaul environment specifically with wheels and brakes.

• Understanding of FAA Part 145 regulations and documentation standards.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.
