Position Summary

This position is for a Quality Engineer at our Anaheim CA facility reporting to our Quality Manager. The Quality Engineer will perform a variety of operational functions that constitute the production inspection and distribution of products or services for commercial and/or government customers.


Responsibilities

  • Provide quality engineering support throughout all phases of product development
  • Support manufacturing and development teams with process mapping controls SOPs CAPA inspections and test procedures
  • Develop inspection and testing strategies (tooling fixtures gauging equipment) for incoming in-process and final inspections
  • Maintain and control quality documentation
  • Support supplier quality through inspections root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Plan and assist with quality audits to ensure compliance with QMS (ISO 9001 / AS9100)
  • Perform First Article Inspections (AS9102) and final inspections as required
  • Lead and support corrective action programs including customer complaints and returns
  • Oversee calibration internal audits and AS9100 management reviews
  • Conduct risk assessments FMEA and control plan development
  • Review and approve quality system procedures
  • Manage nonconforming materials and engineering change processes (ECNs CMAS)
  • Support product testing and overall quality program initiatives
Requirements
  • BS in engineering or technical field.
  • Minimum of five years of QA experience in a regulated industry aerospace industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality system regulations/requirements.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma CAPA etc.
  • Understanding of statistical techniques (SPC DOE ANOVA probability theory sampling distributions Minitab etc.)
  • Experience in GD&T.
