Position Summary
This position is for a Quality Engineer at our Anaheim CA facility reporting to our Quality Manager. The Quality Engineer will perform a variety of operational functions that constitute the production inspection and distribution of products or services for commercial and/or government customers.
Responsibilities
Provide quality engineering support throughout all phases of product development
Support manufacturing and development teams with process mapping controls SOPs CAPA inspections and test procedures
Develop inspection and testing strategies (tooling fixtures gauging equipment) for incoming in-process and final inspections
Maintain and control quality documentation
Support supplier quality through inspections root cause analysis and corrective actions
Plan and assist with quality audits to ensure compliance with QMS (ISO 9001 / AS9100)
Perform First Article Inspections (AS9102) and final inspections as required
Lead and support corrective action programs including customer complaints and returns
Oversee calibration internal audits and AS9100 management reviews
Conduct risk assessments FMEA and control plan development
Review and approve quality system procedures
Manage nonconforming materials and engineering change processes (ECNs CMAS)
Support product testing and overall quality program initiatives
Requirements
BS in engineering or technical field.
Minimum of five years of QA experience in a regulated industry aerospace industry preferred.
Knowledge of quality system regulations/requirements.
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma CAPA etc.
Understanding of statistical techniques (SPC DOE ANOVA probability theory sampling distributions Minitab etc.)
Experience in GD&T.
