SUMMARY OVERVIEW

The Manager of the Ground Support and Equipment Department oversees the operation maintenance and administration of all ground support equipment used in airport operations. This role involves strategic planning and coordination to ensure equipment availability reliability and compliance with safety and operational will lead a team of technicians and administrative staff providing guidance and direction in equipment management maintenance scheduling and you will work with other airport departments and external vendors ensuring effective communication and collaboration to support continuous operational efficiency.â

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ground support and equipment departmentâ
• Manage and coordinate the maintenance repair and operation of ground support equipmentâ
• Develop and implement strategies tooptimizeequipmentutilizationand efficiencyâ
• Lead train and supervise a team of ground support staff and techniciansâ
• Ensure compliance with airport safety standards regulations and operational protocolsâ
• Collaborate with other airport departments and airlines to provide seamless ground support servicesâ
• Monitor and control departmental budgets and expensesâ
• Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs for ground equipmentâ
• Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies for ground support equipmentâ
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment and operations for quality assuranceâ
• Respond to and resolve operational issues and emergencies promptlyâ
• Develop andmaintaineffective working relationships with equipment vendors and service providersâ
• Prepare and present reports on departmental performance challenges and progressâ
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends technologies and best practices in ground support operationsâ
• Foster a culture of safety teamwork and continuous improvement within the departmentâ
• Perform anyadditionalduties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or older
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Must have a valid state-issued drivers license with an acceptable driving record
• 5 years of experience in ground support equipment management and operations within the aviation industryâ
• Proven leadership skills and experience in managing technical teamsâ
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations maintenance protocols and operational procedures in airport environmentsâ
• Proficiencyin managing budgets and operational planningâ
• Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and adapt to changing operational needsâ
• Communicate effectively in English (reading writing speaking)
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically including theuseofelectronic devices includingIPads/Tablets Computers and Mobile Devices
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients both in-person and through electronic means
• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Eligibility toacquireneeded credentials and clearances (FAA TSA Port Authority U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
• Airlines are 24/7 so we need our team members to beflexible to work various shifts including nightsweekendsand holidays
