Position Summary:
Clark Bros. Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Superintendent for our Water and Wastewater Division. It is crucial to have experience and the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment remaining flexible resourceful enthusiastic and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. As a superintendent you will be responsible for providing coordination planning and supervision to assistant superintendents contractors and craft activities in a particular area of discipline.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with the Project Manager in the development of project schedules and updates and the creation of 3-week look-ahead schedules.
Forecast work schedule to identify potential issues and resolution with project team.
Promote strict adherence to companys safety procedures and policies.
Supervise and ensure quality control of civil structural and mechanical work including both self-performed and subcontracted operations.
Oversee site preparation activities such as erosion control stormwater management and site development.
Attend and participate in project meetings and provide liaison between field engineers and craft workers to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
Qualifications and Expectations:
Experience reading and interpreting water and wastewater treatment plant construction drawings and construction documents
5 or more years of construction experience with a successful track record working on large-scale water or wastewater projects
2 or more years in a supervisory role
Experience in constructing technical concrete structures underground shoring systems and mechanical systems
Strong understanding of safety regulations related to excavation activities working from heights and confined space
Completion of OSHA 30 preferred but not required
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written
Valid Drivers License
Must be willing and able to be at the project site and act as an onsite Superintendent
Salary Range: $120000 - $180000
