Whats the role

As an Operations Manager in Transaction Monitoring youll lead the day-to-day delivery of Westpacs financial crime surveillance activities. Youll oversee teams who review transactions and customer behaviour helping detect and investigate suspicious activity so risks are identified early and managed well.

Youll focus on keeping operations running smoothly supporting your leaders and continuously improving how work gets done. This is a hands-on leadership role where youll balance people leadership operational decision-making and strong collaboration with partners across Risk and Financial Crime.

This is a 12-month contract full-time role based in Sydney with flexible work arrangements available.

What do I need

To be successful youll bring strong operational leadership capability and practical financial crime experience including:

Experience leading and developing managers or large operational teams
Knowledge of transaction monitoring and financial crime risk including AML and related obligations
Confidence managing complex operations and improving processes
Strong stakeholder skills with the ability to partner across teams and suppliers
A people-focused leadership style that supports performance accountability and continuous improvement
