Position Overview
As aFacilitiesTechnician specializing in life science environments you will serve as a key technical resource within our Facility Management team. This role combines hands-on technicalexpertisewith coordination responsibilities to ensureoptimalfacility operations for our life science clients. You will manage maintenance activities coordinate external vendors and support critical facility functions whilemaintainingcompliance with industry-specific standards.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems equipment and infrastructure (excluding HVAC systems)
- Perform general repair and maintenance work using manual skills and technicalexpertise
- Support renovation projects refurbishments and minor infrastructure initiatives
- Operate forklifts for material handling and goods receipt operations during client absences
Coordination & Vendor Management
- Coordinate external service providers and trade contractors for maintenance and repair activities
- Process and manage work order tickets through first-level technical support
- Monitor maintenance activities andmaintainaccuratedocumentation of completed work
- Ensure compliance with safety quality and environmental standards per JLL protocols
Client Support & Business Development
- Provide event management support asrequired
- Assistwith space management and occupancy planning using CAFM tools
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance processes
- Support implementation of new service lines and business opportunities
- Contribute to change management processes through effective stakeholder communication
Others
- Handyman work can be requested
- Although the role is primary based in Leeds Capitol Park it may require works across multiple sites to cover illness / holidays when required
Required Qualifications
Technical Requirements
- Completed technical education/training in relevant discipline
- Extensive experience in industrial Facility Management preferably in manufacturing or life science environments
- Valid forklift operator certification anddemonstratedlogisticsexperience
- Comprehensive knowledge of general building maintenance and repair techniques
- IET wiring regulations Eighteenth Edition
- City and Guilds 2391-52
Experience & Skills
- Proventrack recordin both practical and organizational aspects of facility maintenance
- Project experience in maintenance and infrastructure initiatives preferred
- Independent reliable work approach with ability to handle varied responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving abilities and quick learning capacity

Technical Competencies
- Proficiencyin MS Office applications
