The Opportunity:

We areseekinga highly skilled Software Engineer I (Backend) to design and development of scalable cloud-native applications. This role requires strongexpertisein backend microservices (Java)leveragingthe Azure technology stack to deliver enterprise-grade solutions. This position works out of Pleasanton CA or Burlington MA locations in the Heart Failure Division.

What Youll Work On

• Design and implement microservices using Java 11 Spring Boot and REST APIs (GraphQLis a plus).

• Build cloud-native SaaS applications following well-architected principles on Azure Cloud.

• Work with Azure PaaS services such as Service Bus Cosmos DB Blob Storage Redis Cache and Identity Manager.

• Write unit tests using JUnit and Jest; apply static code analysis tools.

• Conduct load testing using tools like JMeter.

• Ensure security performance and adherence to design patterns and best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban).

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in software engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or a related field

• 0-2 years of backend development experience (full stack preferred) with proven ability to lead development
• Java 11 Spring Boot Microservices REST API development (GraphQLis a plus)
• Database technologies (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Testing & Tools: Unit testing (JUnit Jest) static code analyzers
• Knowledge of AI Agents in the software development life cycle is a plus.
• Any Capstone project / internships GPA Requirement 3.5

• Familiarity with one or more programming languages (such as Python Java or similar).
• Exposure to modern software development practices including version control (e.g. Git/GitHub) and basic debugging or testing techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 years of relevant work experience.
• Able to learn concepts and apply that understanding to help troubleshoot issues and complete assigned project tasks.
• Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced changing environment.
