The Shipboard Effectors Department is currently searching for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to work on a multi-discipline team to support the production of Shipboard Effectors products and subsystems located in Louisville KY.

This Electrical Engineering position is responsible for Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and other electrical subsystem hardware. We are seeking candidates with the skills and passion to engineer complex systems subsystems circuit card assemblies and components.

This is an onsite role with regular support required in a production facility.

What will you do:

• Troubleshoot hardware and process issues down to CCA and component levels
• Resolution of issues on production lines and in testing (including suppliers)
• Failure analysis / root cause determination and corrective action implementation
• Performing analog and digital circuit analysis and characterizing and modeling electrical signals of electronic subsystems in simulation
• Identifying and instantiating circuit card and subassembly design updates
• On-Site support
• Some travel to suppliers may be required

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a bachelors degree in science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience. An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
• Experience with Electronics coursework laboratory or projects of electronics design
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

• Master of Science in Electrical Electronics or Computer Science or related STEM degree
• Knowledge of analog digital or mixed signal analysis/design
• Radio Frequency (RF) and Electromagnetic coursework and/or laboratory
• Knowledge of high-level programming languages such as: BASIC C/C
• Interest in or experience with RF/microwave devices
• Experience with electrical software such as: Mentor Graphics DxDesigner PSPICE Advanced Design System (ADS)
• Experience with common test equipment such as: Oscilloscopes DMMs Logic Analyzers Network Analyzers etc.
• Willingness to lead small teams
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
• Effective written and spoken communication

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
